In-house insulation system design capability. True insulation specialists have the engineering capability to design the insulation system themselves. This includes thermal calculations, acoustic and static analysis where required, technical drawings, material specifications, and compliance verification against applicable standards. In-house design capability is particularly important for complex or high-temperature applications where incorrect specification has real operational and safety consequences.
Range of insulation disciplines. A full-service industrial insulation specialist should be competent across thermal, cryogenic, and acoustic insulation, as well as corrosion under insulation (CUI) risk management. Major project track record. Delivering industrial insulation at scale requires project management capability, workforce capacity, and technical rigour that goes well beyond smaller contract work. A contractor’s major project references are a strong indicator of genuine capability.
