Bulk storage tanks store large quantities of products before it is transferred to another facility, used during a process, or delivered to end-users.
Generally, storage tanks, also known as silos or spheres hold anything from aviation fuel, caustic acid, bitumen, and natural gases to food stock and animal feeds. They can also store fire water supplies in case of emergencies. Our teams can provide a multidiscipline service scope including:

Specialist Internal Tank Coatings/ Linings
Substance within Tanks: Caustic, & Demin
Services: High pressure jet wash, surface preparation, & specialist tank linings application to 2no tanks.
Scope of Works & Specification:
- High pressure jet wash to remove all surface contaminants.
- Pump out water & dry.
- Full abrasive blast clean to a sa 2.5 quality.
- De-grit spent abrasive & vacuum area prior to coating application.
- Apply full primer coat of interline 982 to the specified dft.
- Stripe coat (by brush) all edges/angles/welds etc prior to spray application with interline 984.
- Apply 1st full coat of interline 984 to the specified dft.
- Apply 2nd full topcoat of interline 984.
- Test out/final inspection.
- Lining is left to cure for the specified time.
Internal Tank Lining to Deck & bottom Plate
Substance within Tanks: Aviation Fuel
Services: High-pressure jet wash, abrasive blast cleaning & tank lining application.
Scope of Works & Specification:
- HP jet wash to remove all surface contaminants/chlorides.
- Abrasive blast clean to a SA2.5 standard to remove existing lining & provide surface profile.
- Apply full coat Interline 982 primer (brush/roller application).
- Stripe coats all welds & hard to reach areas.
- Airless spray applies 1st full coat Interline 984 (chemically resistant heavy duty epoxy Phenolic tank lining) to NDFT.
- Airless spray applies 2nd full coat. Interline 984 to NDFT.
External Tank Coatings and Associated Structures to Multiple Tanks
External preparation and coatings to a variety of tanks, including the tank shell, roof, handrails, and interconnecting walkways.
Services: High-pressure jet wash, surface preparation & tank coatings application. Associated Access Solutions.
Access Solutions: Electric cradle & mobile elevated working platform (MEWP)
Scope of Works & Specification:
- HP jet wash to remove all surface contaminants & chlorides.
- Mechanical preparation to a ST 3 quality to areas of corrosion.
- Apply full surface tolerant aluminium primer.
- Apply full intermediate coat.
- Apply full Polyurethane topcoat.
- Apply none-skid walkway to designated areas on tank roofs.
External Tank Signage and Associated Access Solutions
