Scope of Services
Comprehensive specialist insulation services to the quarry’s new clinker cooler system (cooler, HEX, fabric filter, fan).
We installed the DUK rail substructure and bolted cladding rings to give the insulation system substantially better strength and resistance to damage. Appropriate flashings/closure plates were installed for all corners/protrusions.
Equipment and assets insulated and cladded by our onsite operatives included the stack, fan & transition, filter inlet/outlet ducting, filter body & hoppers, the penthouse and collector & associated inlet ducting.
Insulation and cladding was installed for personnel protection requirements, to give weather protection and to improve the efficiencies in the new systems processes.

Tunstead quarry is one of the largest in Europe, covering 340 hectares of land. And is the largest supplier of lime and lime-based products in the UK, supplying several industries including the chemical industry. The site also produces vast amounts of aggregates for the construction industry.
