POWERTHERM PROJECTS: TEES RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT (MGT).
Powertherm are thrilled to be starting another major project. We will be working alongside Tecnicas Reunidas on the MGT Teesside project next week (Start Date: 3/2/2020). Our scope includes our all inclusive insulation services for the balance of plant and air-cooled condenser (ACC) equipment. Our operatives are also installing electrical trace heating for frost protection purposes.
The Tees Renewable Energy Plant (Tees REP) is one of the world’s largest biomass-powered plants with a 299MW capacity. The plant will generate approximately 2.4TWh of electricity a year, enough to power around 600,000 homes, which is equivalent to annually displacing 1.2Mt of CO2 emissions. (www.mgtteesside.co.uk)
