We’re celebrating International Women’s Day 2023!
It’s International Women’s Day 2023 and we’re celebrating the women at Powertherm, along with women across the world!
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
At Powertherm, we currently have 41 female employees, 58% of these women work in office based jobs and 42% work in site based jobs.
The age ranges of women at Powertherm are:
- 17-24 – 17%
- 25-34 – 17%
- 35-44 – 15%
- 45-54 – 27%
- 55-64 – 22%
In 2020, just 12 women worked at the company. The number of women working for Powertherm has increased each year since. This increased drastically in 2021, when another 18 women joined the team. In 2022, 6 more women started with us and, just three months in to 2023, we have already employed an additional 5 women.
This year’s theme is Embrace Equality.
‘The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.’
